Yoga on the Mall has been rescheduled for the fall, and there are lots of other great yoga events coming up between now and then!
Before anyone knew how saturated the ground would be this spring, Yoga on the Mall was to mark the end of Metro DC Yoga Week on May 22. For the eleventh year, the week, organized by DC Community Yoga Association (DCCY), includes free and reduced price yoga classes around the DC area, this year at 45 studios.
The new date for Yoga on the Mall is Sunday, September 25. Join in to “participate in a free all-level outdoor yoga practice led by inspiring teachers from the Greater DC area. As always, we will offer children’s yoga and yogis will find inspiration and good fun during the all-level class.
The kickoff for Virginia Yoga Week is Love Your Body Yoga Festival on June 12 at the Reston Town Center. This day-long event includes an entire “Kidasana” tent of family friendly activities plus several other tents, vendors, and pavilion yoga.
August 20, The Yoga Expo comes to the D.C. Convention Center for a day-long event.
In the fall, the 3rd annual National Kids Yoga Conference will take place September 30-October 2 at Catholic University. The conference is for parents, educators, yoga teachers and anyone who cares about teaching youth lifelong skills for health and wellness.
